How do I reserve a string quartet or other group?

Once you’ve decided to hire us, we’ll send a proposal that you can review and sign online. The details are outlined, including the date, time, location and amount. Deposit and payment schedule are also included and can be paid online.

What items do I need to provide to the musicians?

We take care of the details, so you don’t have to worry. The only thing we need is an armless chair for each musician performing at your event.

How do I know what music you will play?

We have a lot of experience playing for a variety of events. We have a large library of music of all different styles. You can either choose your own from our library, we can choose it for you - or we can do a combination of both. You choose some, we choose some based on the style you like most.

Will you play outside?

Yes, we will. However, we won’t play outside if it’s colder than 65 degrees or if there is any moisture in the air. If it’s warm, we need shade - we aren’t picky about what type, whether it be from a tree, a building, a tarp, etc. These requirements are for a variety of reasons: temperature affects the sound and quality. Too cold and our fingers can’t move on the strings. Too hot and things get sticky or sweaty. The instruments also don’t respond well to extremes. If you’re not sure, ask. We’re happy to answer any questions you have.

What time do you arrive at an event?

We arrive 30 minutes before our scheduled start time. This enables us to set up, tune and touch base with the event coordinator or onsite contact.

Should I tip?

While tipping is not necessary, it is very much appreciated - and lets us know we’re doing things right! Tips are customarily around 10-15%. Here’s a great article about tipping wedding providers in general: Cheat Sheet for Tipping Wedding Vendors
